Meeting with Audrey Bouvier, Product Owner at Muse.

TELL US YOUR STORY AT MUSE….

Audrey Bouvier: I started my adventure at Muse in February 2018. When I had my interviews, I had a very good feeling with the people at Muse and that’s why I decided to join the team! Just before that, I managed a website that we had set up with several classmates (Editor’s note: Troccauris.com, a free platform for exchanging goods between individuals). A great challenge that has brought me a lot!

IF YOU HAD TO EXPLAIN YOUR JOB AS PRODUCT OWNER AT MUSE, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?

A.B.: When I appear before customers, I explain to them that I am a digital product manager. Actually, I have three different hats:

First of all, there is a very strong marketing dimension because I am first and foremost a product manager. Also, I work on the entire marketing plan of the MAX digital animation platform. I am looking to develop and improve this platform and constantly adapt it to customer needs. One of the issues that drives me is: how to adapt a generic product to specific needs? It’s a challenge I try to meet on a daily basis!
Then there is a commercial part: I work with the sales department on large tenders.
Finally, a technical part: I work in collaboration with developers to translate customer needs into technical terms for the user experience on the platform.

So it’s very versatile, and that’s what I like about this job!

PRECISELY, WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?

Having a job where you have to be very versatile, I am in contact with many different people and I therefore have to adapt my arguments, my speech, etc. each time. I also like the creative side of my job: how to enrich the MAX platform so that it can prosper over time? It is a real challenge to have to bring a brand new product to life and evolve on the market!

IN YOUR DAILY LIFE, ARE YOU MORE LIKE?

Enjoyed and at the same time quite square! I also have a slightly offbeat humour, I have the humour of the developer[Editor’s note: a geek’s humour what!].

A LIFE ELSEWHERE, WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE?

I would see myself a little isolated on a sailboat in nature mode and digital detox, a little like “Into The Wild” but with a travelling companion!

Otherwise, I am passionate about old houses and I love cooking so why not open a guest house in a few years!
